50-50 was adopted by Alpha Zooter following a semester of service in the local High School Science lab, during which time he proved himself incapable of ever making a clear decision -- mostly because he over-thinks everything and turns it into a philosophical dilemma (even when it's really not).
While 50-50 sports a pocket protector and thick glasses, he's really not a total geek. By virtue of his superior intelligence, he's regularly consulted by 3.14 in solving problems, and has become Athena's closest vermin confidant. And while he often has to endure playful ribbing from the other vermin, he remains well-loved and highly respected.
