Today marks our 1-year anniversary of living here in the Ohm Central City, and the beginning of our broadcasts to other worlds. Of course, now that I have an "audience" I'll have to start making journal entries more often -- six entries over the course of a year is a rather pitiful accounting.
Great news since my last entry -- it seems Mar is alive, though we still don't know where she is or when she'll be back. All we know is what Sona reported last week, after many months of searching: that Mar had been rescued from the brink by non-corporeal entities called "ecila" (pronounced with a soft "c"), but that she still wasn't well-enough to travel. If Sona knows any more, she's not saying. And she's not one to be pushed.
We've also made progress determining what happened to 101 -- though we still don't know where he is, either. The good news is that we don't think he was vaporized; the bad news is we think he we transported someplace through time and/or space -- perhaps into another dimension, though we still can't figure how to track him down or get him back.
What we think happened is this: when Richie and Gina cross-wired circuits connected to the intranet, they inadvertently tied the Etherdome's mainframe into the Telepods, creating a link between operating systems. Then they waited in the shadows for the vermin to be near the cables they'd rigged to blow -- and when they thought they had their best chance for maximum damage they threw the main breaker and created the power surge. As for the resulting energy bubble, we suspect that was an unexpected byproduct -- the sewer rats just aren't smart enough to have planned or anticipated such an outcome.
As for where 101 disappeared to, that remains a mystery -- though one we're determined to solve. Now, however, it's time to meet the gang in the mess hall, to celebrate our progress in refitting the Ohm Central City, our success getting in this site online, and our good fortune at having each other as friends.
And when the evening's done we'll put two pieces of cheesecake in the freezer, for the day when Mar and 101 return to The Vermin's Den.
